Drive south through the green Waikato farmland to the Hobbiton Film Set. On a 2.5-hour guided tour, walk through the Shire from The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, past the hobbit holes, the Mill and the Party Tree. Then enjoy a free drink at The Green Dragon Inn. Next, stretch your legs at Lake Karapiro, where New Zealand's top rowers train, before lunch in Otorohanga. Choose from a set menu and your guide orders for you.

In the afternoon, stop at a farm where friendly animals often come to the fence for photos. Then enter the Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Walk among ancient limestone formations and glide in silence by boat beneath thousands of glowworms. On the drive back to Auckland, relax while your guide shares more stories and makes extra photo stops.
