What you can expect

  • Day(1);
    Leave Muscat and head to wadi bani Khalid
    one of the biggest, stunning and beautiful wadi
    in Oman (apprx 2:30 hrs drive). Its a great time
    to relax and enjoy swimming in the pools of blue
    and fresh water. (lt's possible to have a picnic by
    the wadi). After having a great time in the wadi
    we continue drive to the desert (wahiba sand).
    You may enjoy the camel ride, sand boarding
    and quad bike. Enjoy the sunset from the big
    dunes. Spend the night at one of desert camps.
    Day(2);
    We leave the camp and drive towards Nizwa (the former capital city of Oman and home of history). Visiting Nizwa fort, castle and the markets surrounding where you can browse and purchase souvenirs, Omani dates and Omani sweet called halwa. Then head to the oasis of birkat al mouz, a village which has falaj al khatmin( one of the irrigation system which was added to the UNESCO world heritage site ). After that we drive up 2000 metre high to the jabal al akhdar (the green mountain). Explore the area there with 14 degrees cooler. Finally we head back to Muscat.
