Spend two days surrounded by palm trees, white sand and Caribbean water on this San Blas overnight tour to Aroma Island, also known as Isla Asserya. Stay in a traditional shared cabin, enjoy island meals and explore a nearby island and the Natural Pool on an included boat excursion.
Approximately 15 minutes by boat from the designated Cartí port, Aroma Island offers a short arrival transfer and plenty of time to enjoy the beach.
DAY 1: ARRIVE ON AROMA ISLAND
Meet us at the designated mainland port, or purchase the optional return Panama City transport add-on. With this add-on, your shared 4x4 pickup takes place between approximately 5:00 and 5:45 AM, followed by a 2.5–3-hour drive through the Guna Yala highlands.
Board a shared boat for the short crossing to Aroma Island. Once ashore, settle into your shared cabin when it is ready and start enjoying the island.
Swim in turquoise water, walk along the beach or relax in the shade of the coconut palms. Enjoy lunch and a free afternoon before your included dinner.
Meals typically feature fish or chicken with plantains and salad, depending on local availability. Vegetarian options can be requested. Drinks are available to purchase separately.
Spend the night in a rustic cabin shared with other travellers. Cabins contain 4–7 beds, with shared showers and toilets nearby. Accommodation and services are simple and managed by the local Guna community.
DAY 2: BEACH TIME & ISLAND HOPPING
Enjoy breakfast, which may include fruit and hojaldre, a traditional fried bread. Check out of your cabin by 8:00 AM, then spend the morning swimming or relaxing on the island.
After lunch, join the included shared boat excursion to a nearby island and the Natural Pool. Enjoy another island beach before visiting the shallow offshore sandbank, where you can stand in the sea when conditions allow.
Shared masks and snorkels are provided during the excursion. The island visited, stop order and timing depend on weather and sea conditions.
Return to the mainland port in the afternoon. If you purchased the Panama City transport add-on, your driver will meet you for the return journey, with arrival at your lodging around 7:00 PM.
