What you can expect

  • The Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune, built in 1340 and remodeled in the 17th century, is listed as a historic monument. This former fortress is now home to some unusual collections.

In the grounds of the château, you will find around a hundred fighter planes and helicopters. The château and its outbuildings house 30 Abarth racing car prototypes and over 200 motorcycle models from 1903 to 1960, including those of Jean Mermoz and Canon Kir. Also worth seeing: a fire museum, a museum of wine-making equipment and viticultural equipment, a museum of straddle tractors, and more than 8,000 models.

On the property, the Petit Château (1671) houses the wine tasting cellar and the dining room (by reservation for groups of 20 or more).

Since 1979, Michel Pont, a passionate collector and owner of the Château de Savigny-lès-Beaune, has opened his museums to the public every day to share his passions. His son, Christophe Pont, manages the château's winery with his estate, “Les Caves de l'Orangerie,” and invites you to discover some of the prestigious appellations of Burgundy wines. Tasting and sale of the estate's wines on site.
