Inveraray Castle

Note,You will be dropped off at the entrance of Inveraray Castle. You have the option of a self-guided tour of the castle that is rich in Scottish & British history. There is a charge per person upon entry ( £16.50 per adult for gardens and castle). Open Thursday to Monday and closed for winter from Nov to March, but the grounds are still open to the public.
OR elseWe will stop outside of the castle for photos and explore the scenery. We will then drive you to the heart of Inveraray town. The town includes beautiful scenery of Loch Fyne and has its own jail to visit, one of the finest and best preserved jail and courtroom complexes in the world.

Designed and built by Sir Walter Douglas Campbell, construction started in 1881, it is one of the few churches that displays every type of Architecture, from Roman, Celtic, Saxon, Norman and Gothic, there is a surprise around every corner. Inside there is three chapels, one of which has a crypt with a bone from Robert the Bruce. This is an A Listed historic building and delight to explore
