Embark on a thrilling adventure through the forests and valleys of Argentine Patagonia, where we'll encounter famous fuegian peat bogs, beaver dams, rivers, and lakes. Our magical hike, surrounded by the Andes Mountains, leads us to the stunning Laguna Esmeralda.

We depart from Ushuaia along the scenic Ruta 3 to the trailhead.

After receiving trekking instructions from our guide, we enter a dense forest of Lenga trees, walking on spongy ground known as peat bogs. Along the way, we pass by streams with unique colours and encounter beaver dams—structures that significantly impact the environment. Our guide pauses to share the region's flora and fauna.

After a 2-hour hike with rest stops, we arrive at the famous Laguna Esmeralda, fed by the imposing Ojo del Albino glacier—a true gem of Argentine Patagonia. It's a truly magnificent landscape!

We'll enjoy our snack amid this breathtaking scenery while learning about the rich nature and culture of the region.

With renewed body and spirit, we begin our return hike.
