    Next, drive towards the foothills of the Troodos Mountains and stop at Ktima Gerolemo Winery near Omodos village for a wine tasting. Sample 6 types of wines and zivania, a traditional Cypriot spirit also known as “firewater.”

    Finally, head to the picturesque wine-making village of Omodos for lunch (optional extra), sightseeing, and shopping. Despite its small size, Omodos has many interesting places to visit.

    Explore the cobbled square, old stone-built houses, local wineries, a medieval wine press, and the Monastery of Holy Cross with its beautiful religious icons and woodcarvings. Inside the monastery, visit a museum dedicated to the National Liberation Struggle, a centre for the preservation of narrow-knit lacing, and an Icon Museum.
