Once you arrive at the port of Marina Grande, you will have 2 hours and 20 minutes of free time. We recommend a guided visit by taxi to get to know the island's sights better. The village of Terra Murata, the highest point of the island, is not to be missed, with its breathtaking scenery that has ensured the security of the area for centuries, protecting it from pirate attacks.

Once you reach the top of the town, you can visit Palazzo d'Avalos, which later became the Royal Palace and was transformed into a prison in 1830, before being closed in 1988. Another magnificent attraction is the Abbey of Saint Michael (patron saint of the island), which houses numerous works of art, including the painting depicting Saint Michael defeating Satan. On the western side of the island is the islet of Vivara, connected to the main island by a long footbridge. Vivara is an uninhabited area, but it is actually a volcanic crater that is now submerged.
