Stand just steps from the forge as tamahagane, the same steel used for samurai swords, is heated and hammered, and feel the sparks, heat, and ringing rhythm of the hammer up close. It's a powerful, immersive window into one of Japan's most revered traditional crafts.

Watch the swordsmith heat and hammer the steel through the forging (tanren) and fire-forming (hizukuri) stages, up close. After the demonstration, return to Seki Station or continue your exploration of the area.
