What you can expect

  • Explore the city of Durban and its spectacular surrounding scenery on this 2-in-1 tour. After an introduction to urban landmarks such as the historic city centre, the Botanic Gardens, and the Moses Mabhida Stadium, discover the Valley of a Thousand Hills and Phezulu's traditional Zulu village.

Start the day with convenient pickup from your hotel, and then head out on a city tour that gives you a feel for Durban's top sights. Drive along the idyllic beaches of the Golden Mile, admire majestic heritage buildings in the city centre, and spend time wandering through the lush Botanic Gardens.

After a stop at the Victoria Street Indian Market for a taste of bunny chow, a unique South African dish featuring a bread bowl filled with curry, visit the famous Moses Mabhida Stadium. If you like, opt to ride the cable car to the top of the stadium to discover its 360-degree views over the city.

Following your city tour, leave the urban metropolis behind for Kwa-Zulu Natal's gentle rolling countryside. Look out on the tranquil Valley of a Thousand Hills from a breathtaking vista, and then spend the rest of the day immersing yourself in traditional Zulu culture at Phezulu Safari Park. Get a glimpse of daily life in the thatched village, and encounter local wildlife with a final stop at the Crocodile and Snake Park before returning to the city.
