Explore Daan Viljoen on a guided 9 km hike and walking safari through the Khomas Hochland. Walk through hills, valleys and riverbeds, pause at viewpoints, and look out for giraffes, wildebeest, kudu, oryx, klipspringer, zebras, guinea fowl and baboons. Wildlife roams freely, so sightings are not guaranteed.

Begin with pickup at your confirmed Windhoek location. Hike through highland terrain around 1,700 metres above sea level, with uphill and downhill sections and uneven ground. A reasonable level of fitness is needed; share mobility concerns before the trip so your guide can assess suitability.

Allow approximately four hours including Windhoek pickup and return transfers, with around 3–4 hours on the trail depending on pace and conditions. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring drinking water, sun protection and a warm layer.

Pickup and drop-off are included. The Daan Viljoen park entrance fee is N$200 per person, payable separately. Food and drinks are not included.
