Welcome to the tour that combines beauty with goodness. Born from the idea of offering much more than just a visit to the attractions, this itinerary has been designed for you to discover the best of Moldova through its authentic flavours: traditional cuisine, excellent wines, special desserts and a coffee that preserves memories - all accompanied by history and incredible landscapes.
The day begins with a walk in the centre of Chișinău, the Moldovan capital. Together, we will discover the history of Moldova, the Soviet period, local traditions and the curiosities that make this country so fascinating and little known. We will conclude the short city tour with a stop in a very special place: a small café-museum where, over a great coffee, we can meet the owner and hear stories and anecdotes that you are unlikely to find in tour guides.
After visiting Chișinău, we will take the car to the Curchi Monastery, considered by many to be the most beautiful monastery in Moldova. Its architectural complex is inspired by the designs of the famous Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, who created the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and other great works of the Russian Empire.
The next stop is Orheiul Vechi, the most visited place in Moldova and one of the most spectacular landscapes in the country. This extraordinary historical and natural complex, often referred to as the “Green Grand Canyon of Moldova,” holds millennia of history. We will visit the famous rock-carved monastery, which has been cared for by a single monk for almost thirty years, and a traditional peasant house-museum that will allow us to discover how Moldovans lived in centuries past.
For lunch, we'll stop at an authentic Moldovan restaurant, where I'll help you choose and understand the most representative dishes of our cuisine. But no dessert… because a special surprise awaits you in a unique location, where you can taste some of Moldova's most popular desserts in a very special atmosphere.
The last stop will be one of the most famous attractions in the country: the Cricova cellars. Here we will visit a true underground city of wine, with dozens of kilometres of galleries, streets dedicated to grape varieties, and wine collections known worldwide. A unique place that represents the pride of the Moldovan wine-making tradition.
After the visit, I will take you back to your hotel in Chișinău in comfort.
Please note the following important information:

2) The guided tour inside Cricova is not always available in Italian and is very often conducted in English.
Participation in the wine cellar tour is not mandatory. Guests who have already visited Cricova or who simply prefer not to participate can go directly to the hotel (a taxi from Cricova will be arranged and paid for) or enjoy some free time.
