Get to know Paris from the river that gave rise to it — the glorious Seine. This Seine river walking tour covers the history, highlights, architecture, and so much more of the Seine bridges and sights.

We’ll begin our tour at the Henri IV statue in the middle of the Pont Neuf, the first Parisian bridge built in stone. As you survey Île de la Cité around you, you’ll learn a secret about this island.

Leaving the bridge, continue to the southern bank of the Seine until you reach the Pont des Arts. This bridge dates to the 19th century, but what you’ll love most here is the incredible views.

At the Pont du Carrousel and Pont Royal, listen to the stories of the Rive Gauche and the Rive Droite — two very different sides — and you’ll understand an important part of Paris’s identity. You’ll also see a familiar icon on the northern bank: the Louvre itself!

As the tour comes to a close, step into the Musée d'Orsay. If you visited the Louvre and wondered where all the Impressionist paintings that France is famous for were, they’re here!

Before you enter to explore on your own, your guide will share how this building came to be (it wasn’t always a museum) and what you can look forward to inside.

Your guide will give you your priority entry ticket and tips about the most interesting paintings. Don’t miss Monet’s “Nymphéas bleus” or Renoir’s &

What you can expect

ExperienceFirst invites you to discover Paris from the vantage point of the magnificent Seine River, the very waterway that birthed the city. This Seine river walking tour encompasses the rich history, architectural marvels, and captivating sights that line the Seine's bridges.

Our journey commences at the Henri IV statue, situated at the heart of the Pont Neuf, Paris's inaugural stone bridge. As you take in the panoramic view of Île de la Cité, a hidden secret about this island will be unveiled.

Moving away from the bridge, we'll continue along the southern bank of the Seine until we reach the Pont des Arts. Dating back to the 19th century, this bridge offers unparalleled vistas that are sure to captivate.

At the Pont du Carrousel and Pont Royal, you'll hear tales of the Rive Gauche and the Rive Droite — two distinct sides of Paris that play a crucial role in shaping the city's identity. On the northern bank, a familiar icon graces the horizon: the Louvre itself!

As the tour draws to a close, step inside the Musée d'Orsay. If you've ever wondered where France's renowned Impressionist paintings reside, they can be found here! Before you embark on your independent exploration, your guide will recount the transformation of this building (it wasn't always a museum) and provide insights into what awaits you within.

Receive your priority entry ticket and valuable recommendations about the most captivating artworks. Be sure not to miss Monet's “Nymphéas bleus” or Renoir's “Bal au Moulin de Galette.” The museum houses a treasure trove of enchanting pieces, including sculptures, decorative arts, photographs, all within a beautifully sunlit interior. We suggest allocating at least two hours, though art enthusiasts may wish to linger longer!

Opt for an additional private tour within the museum to enhance your experience further for you and your group!
