    Start at the Praça da Republica and walk at a brisk pace to Church of Santa Maria do Olival, once the pantheon of the Knights templar Order and one of the most important dioceses in Portugal and the world. Descend and pass the Convent of Santa Iria, taking the opportunity to enjoy one of the best views Tomar has to offer, before venturing into the Mouchão garden.

    See the Roda do Mouchão (Mouchão Wheel), which is said to be a vestige of the Arab passage through these lands. Continue along Rua Marquês de Tomar to Antiga Rua da Judiaria, where you'll return to the 15th century and the complex and fascinating Jewish history.

    In between, see a famous corner window, evidence of the architecture of another era. Finally, end up at the Republic Square. At the end of the tour, have the opportunity to sample a selection of regional tapas.
