About the Event
An evocative and eerie guided visit to Pavia in the early 19th century, when the city was shrouded in thick fog, dark streets and an atmosphere suspended between superstition, fear and harsh everyday life.
In this gloomy setting, the lives of university professors, police officers, priests, commoners and criminals intertwine, while on full-moon nights a mysterious tale takes shape: that of the so-called Bitch of the Bridge, a dark and surprising storey linked to the presence of an alleged werewolf who supposedly terrorized the city.
Following in the footsteps of the protagonists, we will retrace the streets, places and corners of Pavia where reality and popular imagination seem to blur. The tour will recount a storey that straddles the line between fact, legend and superstition, revealing the darker side of a university town that is only seemingly tranquil.
An itinerary that's different from the usual, among city mysteries, forgotten tales and Gothic novel atmospheres, to discover a nocturnal, unsettling and deeply fascinating Pavia.
