What you can expect

  • Tumpak Sewu, which literally means “thousand waterfalls,” is one of the largest waterfalls in Indonesia. The waterfall is located at a height of about 120 metres with water falling in beautiful curtains. The view of this magnificent waterfall is one of the main attractions for tourists.

    The return between Malang and Tumpak Sewu is around 130 km and usually takes around 4 hours 30 minutes of driving. The waterfall activities usually take 2–3 hours, depending on how long you wish to stay.

    The itinerary:

    • Pick up passengers at the requested point in the Malang area
    • Drive to Tumpak Sewu for about 2 hours
    • Meet the local guide
    • Walk to the Tumpak Sewu viewpoint
    • Hike down to Tumpak Sewu waterfall
    • Continue to Goa Tetes cave
    • Return to the car park
    • Drive back to Malang for about 2 hours 30 minutes, with lunch on the way if needed
