What you can expect

  • Take a journey through Xi'an and explore its rich history, fascinating architecture, religious monuments, and ancient city wall. Visit the Shaanxi History Museum, stop at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, wander around at the Great Mosque, and enjoy a traditional Chinese lunch.

Your tour begins with a hotel pickup in the morning and a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum for a cultural and historical overview of the province.

Next, travel to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda—a symbol of the city. Be amazed by the 7-story pyramid that stands 210 feet (64 m) high, built in the Tang dynasty. Break for a delicious Chinese lunch before visiting one of the oldest existing Chinese city walls. Among the few city walls that remain, Xi'an's—with its great gates—is undoubtedly the most impressive and photogenic.

Stop at the Great Mosque and marvel at the traditional Chinese architecture. Take some time to wander around its pavilions, platforms, and halls before returning back to your hotel.
