Begin with a comfortable pickup in Zakopane. Forget about navigating narrow mountain roads or searching for expensive parking spots, as your driver will drop you off directly at the park gates in Kiry. On the way, stop at shepherd's hut to see how highlander cheese is made.

With your entry ticket already in hand, head straight into the valley. The main trail is a gentle 9-kilometer return that is accessible for all fitness levels.

As you walk, be surrounded by towering rock formations and alpine meadows where highlanders still graze sheep and produce traditional oscypek cheese.
