Your adventure begins with an early hotel pickup and transfer to Zanzibar Airport. A short domestic flight takes you to Mtemere Airstrip, close to the park entrance. Meet your professional safari driver-guide and explore Tanzania’s largest national park in a safari-modified vehicle.

Nyerere National Park features open plains, miombo woodland, lakes and river habitats. Depending on natural wildlife movement, you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, warthogs and colourful birdlife. The park is also an important habitat for the endangered African wild dog, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Explore wildlife-rich plains, woodland, lakes and river areas while your guide tracks animals and explains their behaviour, habitats and conservation.
10:30 – Bush coffee or tea break
Pause for refreshments at a safe location inside the park.
12:30 – Authentic bush lunch
Enjoy lunch served at set tables in the wilderness.
17:00 – Lodge transfer
End the game drive and continue to Selous Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay on a full-board basis.
