Staying in this place was a highlight of my Bali visit! The family that runs this place is sooo kind! You will like in home, however, the rooms are gorgeous, nothing to envy to a high end hotel. I truly enjoy my stay here and highlight recommend to anyone that is visiting Ubud!

Ketut's place was an amazing way to enjoy Bali and true Balinese culture. We felt so welcomed from the first moments. Our room exceeded any expectations we had and we truly enjoyed during our stay. Everything went smoothly from the hotel organising our pick-up from the airport to the drop off back. We were able to choose our breakfast daily and they even organised massages for us in the property with a reasonable price. Ketut's restaurant was also a nice way to have lunch or dinner if we were tired. The hotel is also in a walking distance from the heart of Ubud but still the atmosphere remains calm and very close to nature. Everything was clean, the foods were super and the staff ever so helpful. We cannot express our enjoyment more. We recommend Ketut's place for anyone from solo travellers, couples to families.

Not as advertised.
Not as advertised. The deluxe rooms were very overpriced. This is really more like a hostel and the “deluxe” rooms were down a very steep and wet set of stairs covered in moss. This is not appropriate for anyone with the slightest mobility issue. The air conditioning did not work. The deluxe rooms were very musty due to the location being at the bottom of a ravine and the a/c not working. The rooms were very old.

beautiful traditional environment and rooms, great price and the food delicious and inexpensive. Friendly staff, can organise everything you need. Easy walk to main road and palace and market and rice terrace walk. Loads of eateries and facilities close buy. When you are at the pool and in the gardens you wouldn't know the hustle and bustle of ubud was only minutes away. Comfy beds and reasonable aircon to ensure you have a good nights sleep. Will come again for sure. Deluxe room no.13 had a fridge and huge balcony overlooking the river and ravine. You need to be able to walk steps if you have this room, but many standard rooms closer to reception have not many steps

The hotel room itself is fashioned in the traditional Balinese sense with 4 poster bed and mosquito nets. There is no tv but the room would look silly if it had one. The door locks with a chain and padlock and there is a table and chairs out on a private balcony. The grounds are quiet tranquil serene and beautifully manufactured. This is by no means a typical hotel stay. Ketuts fits right in with the Ubud architecture. It was a different experience but highly enjoyable.

Ketut's is conveniently located within a short walk to Town Centre but is a quiet peaceful oasis. It is the ideal place to relax and recharge as there is a pool, spa center where massages are amazing, and breakfast delivered daily to your room (if you want). The licenced cafe has a great menu and delicious meals if you don't feel like going out for a meal, so that was an unexpected bonus. I am a solo female traveler and felt welcomed, safe and at home from the first minute to the last minute there as the staff are all friendly, professional and welcoming but just as many families and couples there as well as there are different size villas available. As it is villa style accommodation and generously spaced out, there is privacy and space and quiet for every guest, so I appreciated I chose it for that as well that reason as well. Could not recommend it highly enough.

This is a beautiful property run by a family. Very pleasant and easy to deal with. Spa services were not great. We stayed in the deluxe rooms and they were amazing looking out onto the jungle and a river below. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Very central in Ubud to see the sites.

Loved the jungle setting. Sitting out on our terrace looking at the ravine was fantastic. Also loved how breakfast is brought to the room. There was always someone to help, and always with a smile!

Fully enjoyed my stay at this family run place. Ground floor temple/bridge/decor was always nice to walk through, food was the perfect home made meals, front desk was helpful, close to centre and the bed was comfortable. Only con was that the bathroom was very outdated and you can hear roosters from the early morning. Not good for light sleepers. All in all very good for the price for stay.

Ketut's Place is a beautiful lovely family oriented stay that makes you feel at home. Everyone there is very friendly, helpful and warmth. Lush and greenery surrounding the place makes us feels like living close to nature. Breakfast was delicious with many different choices to choose from. Accommodation price is also very reasonable and low, it is highly recommended for a stay when in Ubud.

i love Ketut!
wow!! just homey family environment. such helpful staff at reception. excellent food included in the breakfast. gorgeous pool. rooms were clean and we were just fine with a fan, but ac is an option. nice strong hot shower. just can’t say enough good things about the vibe here. everyone was so friendly and kind. walking distance to everything you could imagine! 26 mins to monkey forest with loads of shops and restaurants in between. i recommend the fire dance as well was so cool! just ask at the desk. i will be back to ketut!

El hotel es bonito, pero un poco descuidado. La señal de internet es débil en la habitación asignada. No queda lejos del centro de Ubud, pero a veces la caminata se hacía tediosa. It was amazing to be in the centre of a family and r cultural house. The property was also quite a close walk to town, which made it easy to go check everything out without having to spend money ok transport

Séjour inspirant dans lieu typiquement Balinais
Belle découverte à quelques pas du coeur de la ville. Magnifique hôtel Balinais plein de charme et très bien tenu par une famille et son personnel ;adorables ,souriants et sincères . Petit déjeuner classique , mais très bon. Repas délicieux. Notre chambre était située coté rivière,avec vue sur une falaise végétale. Les équipement sanitaires sont vieillissant voir pas du tout au goût du jour ,mais fonctionnels et très propre. D'après mes recherches pour loger à Ubud ,cet établissement possède un excellent rapport qualité prix ;bien situé pour découvrir les alentours et proposant pleins de services . Nous sommes ravis de ce bon choix.

El establecimiento es muy especial, con habitaciones preciosas con 2 terrazas, que parecen pisos pequeñitos individuales, con una vegetación exuberante. Las habitaciones son pequeñas, pero se extienden con las terrazas. Hay piscina, Spa (aunque aquí no entramos), y te llevan el desayuno todos los días a la habitación. El baño es un poco básico y antiguo, pero el resto está muy bien. Y la gente es súper-amable. Está localizado a 5-10 min de la calle principal de Ubud, con lo que te ahorras todo el ruido de las motos (que son muchas) y de los cientos de turistas que hay en los restaurantes y tiendas de esa zona. Un sitio para repetir, especialmente si vas con niños.

Both Ketut and his family/staff is very nice and good service, but i have to be honest. This hotel is really cool and i thought we walked into a temple, BUT... we got a "uppgraded" room down in the (ravine?) Wich was really cool. But they had recently sprayed the room with something for the buggs, and there were both dead and living bugs everywhere in the room that they didnt clean up. The spray left a very strong ammonia smell in the sheets, curtains and canopy, making me very nausius. There were also ants everywhere. We complained and was given airfreshener and... More insect spray... I refused a second night in this room and was given another room wich was just the same. At this point we packed our bags and were ready to leave when we were given a third room wich was a little better. Didn't smell and had a little less ants... This room however had no pressure on hot water so only semi-cold showers, problem with drainage and smal clay-ish inscects nests in the bed and shower. The bed was badly insect-eaten and curtains and canopy was so dirty it made me shudder. At this point I just lost my fighting spirit and lived with it... Our backpacks is crawling with bugs, so a sanitation when coming home was recuired... Generally, this hotel has a big problem with ants, the breakfast was very boring. The staff was also repeatadly spitting in the pool-area and the hotel dogs was peeing there, so we never visited the pool. They forgot to clean the room several days.

Great hotel, great pool. The personnel was very nice and we booked a tour to visit rice fields very easily.

Great hotel
What a stunning, cultural hotel this is in the most perfect location! It is just a 10 minute walk to the main strip in a Ubud where you’ll find many shops and restraunts. Our stay was great, the room, the location, the breakfast and the staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We ate at the hotel one evening which was lovely, the food was very nice and the owner of the hotel explained the history and tradition of it. I would recommend this hotel if you want a reasonable price, a taste of Ubud culture and relaxed stay in a great location!

Lovely family run Homestay in authentic surroundings. Super friendly and helpful staff and very clean. Location also excellent. A real gem.
