"The Cottage is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, the host Jan has thought of everything. The private area outside and the pool are fab, pretty garden with lots of flower's and shrubs to attract the birds. No-one answered any of the three numbers available and we were left outside the main gate waiting for about 30 min to be checked in. "I recently spent three weeks at De Hoop with my fiance and it was the perfect place to unwind and relax. The cottage was small and simple, but contained everything that one requires as advertised. Perfect hot shower/water, with both indoor and outdoor braai. Great views of the mountains, lovely shaded porch, great trails to walk on the farm and dams to swim in."

"I rented the luxury penthouse and it was very nice. Felt like home. The area is very walkable with restaurants, grocery, and shops within a very short distance. I grabbed Starbucks everyday and sat on the balcony to enjoy the beautiful mountain views. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I plan to return to this property again."

"We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation....
