What you can expect

Spend 2 days on the beautiful island of Capri, long considered a sublime retreat for ancient Greeks and Roman emperors, and extending to modern-day celebrities. Travel from Rome and enjoy a tour of the island, with plenty of free time.

Day 1: Depart from Rome and board a ferry in Naples to cross the gorgeous blue waters of the Mediterranean to reach Capri. One look at the island's gorgeous landscape—cliffs descending through abundant greenery to the terraced seaside village—and it's no wonder the island has been cherished as a resort getaway since at least Roman times. Capri retains an unspoiled charm with its grand villas, overgrown vegetable plots, sun-bleached peeling stucco, and banks of brilliantly coloured bougainvillea.

We'll make our way directly to the Blue Grotto (depending on the sea and weather conditions). After lunch (not included), you will have free time to explore on your own. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 2: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, and then spend the entire day exploring Capri at your leisure. In the afternoon, hop aboard the ferry to Naples, where you transfer to a bus that heads back to Rome.
