Our small Wegebahn train takes us on a leisurely journey through one of the most beautiful regions of Usedom, the Achterland, with its small, almost unspoiled villages, the adjacent Achterwasser, and its diverse natural landscape.
We leave the seaside resorts and head towards Benz. Here we visit an early Gothic church from the early 13th century, with a coffered ceiling designed to resemble a starry sky. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the untouched landscape. The path then leads us to Neppermin. Many houses have thatched roofs or stand on rock stone bases – a feast for the eyes.
We will drive along the Achterwasser, through the towns of Balm and Dewichow, and on to Morgenitz. After that, the Country Cruise takes us to the Rankwitz harbour. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the Peenestrom.
At the “Alte Fischräucherei” restaurant, you can expect a wide range of oven-fresh smoked fish as well as fried and boiled fish specialities. After lunch, head to Mellenthin Moated Castle with the option of having a coffee or visiting the castle grounds.
Afterwards, head back towards the Kaiserbäder.
