Set in spacious, mature parkland, with a full schedule of talks and feeds, the zoo offers a huge diversity of inhabitants and activities. Visit Big Cats in their new habitat, join a dinosaur safari or observe tranquil red pandas.
Learn all about animals past and present on your journey around the zoo. Start by visiting a prehistoric world at a detailed dinosaur exhibit set around an erupting volcano.
Another highlight is Project Elephant Base Camp. A huge habitat with grass paddocks, a sand area and a large, deep pool offering the latest facilities to ensure the highest standards of care and welfare for its residents, a herd of Asian elephants. Catch up with baby Zaiya, who made a historical arrival in 2025.
The zoo also runs daily sea lion demonstrations and has multiple walk through exhibits, where you can get up close to lemurs, wallabies and birds.
From aardvarks to anteaters, bongos to Bornean orangutans, penguins to pelicans, elephants to emus and marmoset monkeys to meerkats (to name just a few) our residents come in all shapes and sizes. Learn all there is to know about the animal kingdom as you explore the zoo and, with babies arriving all year-round, there’s always someone new to meet.
