Activity itinerary

A private group cultural stewardship experience in Waipiʻo Valley at the Āpua Ti House and the ancient Taro Patches of Nāpoʻopoʻo of cultural connection and stewardship ORIENTATION: Begins with orientation & introduction at the organisation's hub above the valley. TRANSPORT INTO THE VALLEY: Your group then travels safely into the valley. CULTURAL PROTOCOL & STORYTELLING: At the Ti House below Hiʻilawe Falls, your hosts welcome you with cultural protocol, history & moʻolelo (storytelling) STEWARDSHIP ACTIVITIES: Then the experience immerses the group in hands-on stewardship activities tailored to small groups such as kalo planting, native plant care, invasive species removal, restoration of ancient taro patches, and other mālama ʻāina work. LUNCH: Enjoy lunch at the Ti House in front of Hiʻilawe waterfall. (6 hr activity only) Optional for a local lunch to be provided ($25) Refreshments, PPE, and guided 4x4 valley transport are included.
