Meet your guide at the TER train station, right in the heart of the city centre. Board the coach and begin your exploration of the historic district with a first stop at the Kermel Market. You will also see the City Hall, the Presidential Palace, Independence Square, and the National Assembly, and you will reach the forecourt of the grand cathedral for a short walking tour.
Next, continue to Soumbedioune, the iconic fishermen's district, where you will also discover a crafts market brimming with local creations.
Continue along the corniche road and enjoy the ocean views until you reach the famous Mosque of the Divinity. You can walk to the pier that leads to the beach.
Continue to the highest point of the city to discover the imposing Monument of the Renaissance. From its 52-meter (170-foot) height, you’ll enjoy exceptional panoramic views of Dakar.
Please note that the order of the stops may change depending on traffic conditions, events, or local constraints, but all scheduled visits are guaranteed.
The tour usually ends at the Monument de la Renaissance, allowing travellers staying in the Les Mamelles, Ouakam, or Les Almadies areas to get off at that location. A return trip to the TER train station is also planned.
Your guide will be available throughout the tour to accompany you and share their knowledge.
