Know before you book

  • Free pick up and drop off only in the central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Province including Chang Klan Road, Thapae Road, Wualai Road in zones of the Night Bazaar, Lam Yai Market (Kad Luang), Sunti Tham
  • Free pick up and drop off only in Nimmanhaemin Road, Super Highway Road from Rin Come Square to Kuang Sing Square Pass Road, Arkhet Transfer Station, railway station and Chiang Mai Airport, and areas within 2km from the city area (Muang District).
  • If your hotel is outside the free pick up area, the designated meeting point is the Thaphae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City, in front of McDonalds. Your tour guide will be holding a TripGuru sign waiting for you.
  • Exact pickup time depends on participants’ respective locations.
  • We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel at least 24 hrs before the activity date, TripGuru will provide a full refund of the price paid at booking. If you cancel less than 24 hrs before the activity date, or if you don’t show up on the Date, no refund.

What you can expect

Doi Suthep Temple nicknamed after its mountain home is known for its spectacular views. While the 309-staircase may seem daunting for some travellers, the unrivalled view at the top is well worth the exercise. Get a chance to glimpse the Doi Suthep sunrise light up the sky with a rainbow of golden hues as you document this experience in Chiang Mai with a few photos.

After the Doi Suthep Sunrise Tour, we’ll visit the large golden Kruba Srivichai Monument, named after the Thai Buddhist monk (who was also an engineer) who built many temples and roads during the late 80s and early 90s.

We’ll head to Wat Pha Lat, a hidden temple where we’ll take in the lush jungles and serene statues and shrines.

We’ll wrap up our half day morning tour with a stop at Wat U-Mong next, a 700-year old temple built back in 1297. Explore the underground tunnels, forest surroundings and marvel at the magnificent chedi. Finally, we’ll drop you off at your accommodation or the meeting point to finish a day well spent.
