What you can expect

Discover the best of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance and a centre of great artistic activity, on this guided tour of its historic city centre. Learn interesting facts and anecdotes about the city's evolution from the Middle Ages to the present—and take in spectacular landmarks.

Stand in the centre of Piazza della Signoria and admire statues by well-known artists, including Ammannati's “Fountain of Neptune.” Overlooking the square is the majestic, Romanesque-style Palazzo Vecchio, renowned for its entrance, outside of which Michelangelo's “David” (currently replaced by a replica) once proudly stood.

You then move on to stand in the huge shadow of the breathtaking Florence Cathedral (Duomo) and the Florence Baptistery—well-known for its iconic Gates of Paradise bronze door.

You also get to see the iconic Ponte Vecchio Bridge, the Vasari Corridor—a passageway connecting the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti—and the Oltrarno artisan district, known for its artisan boutiques and quirky streets.
