Dive the USS Spiegel Grove — a 510-foot Navy landing dock ship intentionally sunk in 2002 to create one of the largest artificial reefs in the world. Resting in 130 feet of water off Key Largo, the wreck has become a thriving marine ecosystem covered in coral growth and home to massive goliath grouper, barracuda, schools of jacks, moray eels, and the occasional bull shark passing in the blue.
Your first dive is on the Spiegel Grove itself. Explore the massive deck, open passageways, davits, and dramatic structure — the sheer scale is staggering and you cannot see both ends of the ship from any single point on the dive. Your second dive is a captain's choice site — a shallower reef, another wreck, or the Spiegel Grove again depending on conditions and group preference. If you want a specific second site, call ahead to arrange it.
This is a deep dive. Advanced Open Water certification is required — no exceptions. Each diver must carry their own dive computer and SMB — both are available to rent or purchase at the shop. Nitrox is recommended but not required.
Tanks and weights are included in the base price. Full gear rental is available as an add-on at booking. Minimum age 15.
