Meet the reindeer up close in the corral, feed them by hand, and learn about their lives through stories shared by your reindeer herder. You will also get to try your hand at lasso throwing – a traditional skill still used in reindeer herding today.
After some time outdoors, we’ll gather inside the warm lavvu by the fire for a traditional Sámi meal - we serve Mállás, a traditional Sámi slow-cooked meat soup, or a vegetarian alternative. During the meal, your host shares stories about the reindeer, life as a herder, and Sámi traditions. The experience ends outside, with the chance to spend a final moment with the herd.
