Know before you book

  • The minimum age to dive is 12 years old for introductory divers and 10 years old for certified divers.
  • You must have a reasonable level of fitness, good circulation, and healthy, unblocked breathing.
  • Due to altitude, you may not fly within 24 hours of participating in this activity. Please plan accordingly.
  • You must be PADI certified to participate in the Certified Diving package.
  • Check-in is from 7.15am to 7.45am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs 8.00am sharp.
  • Boat departs daily at 8.00am sharp and returns at 4.30pm.
  • Divers over 65 years old and anyone who answers YES to any of the questions on the medical questionnaire will require a recreational dive medical prior to diving.
  • Certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. Must state your full name, the doctor's name, practice and the clearance to dive.
  • Languages spoken onboard: English, German, Japanese and Chinese Mandarin.

What you can expect

Experience one of the best things to do in Cairns, The Great Barrier Reef, with this local award-winning company and boat. This tour includes a full-day reef cruise with snorkelling, scuba diving and lunch. Departing from Cairns onboard a 35-metre super yacht, Evolution, you will head out into the coastal waters to your first Outer Great Barrier Reef destination.

You will visit two reefs during the day. The reefs are selected daily to ensure the most beautiful experience possible. Once you have arrived at the reef, you will gather your snorkelling or scuba diving gear and slide into the water to begin your underwater adventure. As you submerge yourself in the calm, crystal-clear waters of the Outer Great Barrier Reef, take a look around you to find one of the richest ecosystems on the planet.

Move slowly through the water, getting intimate looks at an abundance of marine life. You can explore to your heart's content at 2 unique locations, relaxing on the boat's deck in between each one and refuelling with a scrumptious barbecue lunch. On the way back to shore, enjoy a complimentary glass of wine and cheese and biscuits as you cruise back to Cairns.
