Experience the wild heart of Brazil on a premium 4-day, 3-night wildlife expedition through the northern Pantanal, combining two Jaguar Safaris in Porto Jofre with river exploration, night wildlife spotting, a sunrise safari, horseback riding, and stays at three different Pantanal lodges.
Travel from Cuiabá along the legendary Transpantaneira Highway and discover wetlands, rivers, forests, and grasslands home to an extraordinary diversity of wildlife.
Day 1 – Transpantaneira & River Safari
Depart Cuiabá at approximately 8:00 AM and travel via Poconé into the Pantanal along the Transpantaneira Highway. Along the way, look for capybaras, caimans, marsh deer, toucans, and other wildlife.
Arrive at Pousada Rio Claro around midday for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat safari along the surrounding waterways, searching for otters, monkeys, capybaras, caimans, and tropical birds.

Day 2 – Porto Jofre & Jaguar Safari
Depart early for Porto Jofre, one of the Pantanal's most renowned areas for observing wild jaguars.
After breakfast, board a motorboat for a dedicated Jaguar Safari. Explore rivers and channels with an experienced local guide and boat captain, searching for jaguars and other wildlife including giant otters, caimans, capybaras, monkeys, macaws, and waterbirds.
Spend the day exploring the waterways before returning to Porto Jofre.
Overnight: Pousada Recanto do Jaguar
Day 3 – Second Jaguar Safari & Night Safari
Return to the river for a second Jaguar Safari, providing another opportunity to search for jaguars while exploring different waterways and habitats.
After lunch, travel along the Transpantaneira to Pousada Piuval. Around sunset, join a night safari and spotlighting experience to search for nocturnal wildlife and discover a completely different side of the Pantanal.

Day 4 – Sunrise Safari & Horseback Riding
Begin the day with an early-morning wildlife and photography safari, with opportunities to search for the remarkable giant anteater and other wildlife.
After breakfast, enjoy a guided horseback ride through ranch lands, grasslands, and wetland areas while experiencing traditional Pantaneiro culture.
After lunch, return by vehicle to Cuiabá, with drop-off at the airport or your hotel.
