Begin your adventure by paddling up a river into the jungle, getting a feel for the kayak. Go in silence and with your eyes wide open. Keep an eye out for birds, butterflies, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, river turtles, and maybe even a sloth hanging out along the river.

After the river kayak, we normally continue with a short hike to a beautiful viewpoint and hidden cave, where you can enjoy another side of Punta Uva’s natural beauty.

When ocean conditions are especially calm and clear—more commonly around September and October—we may also have the chance to paddle out to sea. If we’re lucky with the conditions, you can enjoy the crystal-clear water and perhaps spot reef fish, stingrays, and other marine life below.
