A unique and hands-on pottery experience where you can personalise your own, real-clay, ceramic mug. In this 1.5 hour session, you will have the opportunity to paint a pre-fired bisque mug using high-quality ceramic stains and glazes. Guided by an experienced ceramic artist, you will explore different painting techniques to create a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your style.
This experience is designed for both beginners and seasoned creatives looking for a relaxing and engaging activity. The studio provides all the necessary materials, including a curated selection of stains, brushes, stencils and tools. Whether you prefer bold, abstract patterns or delicate, intricate details, you will have the freedom to bring your vision to life.
Guests can choose from two different mug styles, allowing them to pick a shape that best suits their aesthetic and functional preferences. The available mug sizes are 10×11 cm or 9×13 cm, giving you the flexibility to select the form that complements your design ideas.
The lesson lasts 1.5 hour, ensuring you have ample time to create something as detailed and artistic as you like. There is no rush—whether you want to take a minimalist approach or cover every inch of your mug with intricate patterns, you will have the space and guidance to make your vision a reality.
Once completed, your mug will be professionally glazed and fired in a high-temperature kiln at 1100C, ensuring a durable, food-safe finish. Your finished piece will be ready for collection a few days later, making it a perfect keepsake or a thoughtful handmade gift.
This is also an excellent opportunity to create meaningful souvenirs for friends and family, instead of purchasing mass-produced items. A handmade ceramic piece carries a personal touch and tells a storey, making it a unique and thoughtful gift to take back home.
