What you can expect

Discover the capitol of Austria’s most important sights. Walk in the hustle and bustle of the city centre and visit the St. Steven cathedral, the Capuchins’ Crypt and if you like museums enjoy the Museums' Quartier.

Departure and visit of the famous St. Steven cathedral in Vienna: The cathedral is one of the symbols of the city centre with its special roof tiles. Surrounded by pedestrian streets, coffee houses, restaurants and elegant shops, it has a unique atmosphere.

Visit of the Royal burial place: Very close to the St. Steven church we will find the Capuchins’ Crypt where the mortal remains of 150Habsburg personalities rest. A tour through the Capuchins' Crypt takes you through 400 years of Austrian and European history.

Lunch in a local restaurant where you can taste the traditional Wiener Schnitzel. Then visit the Museums Quartier.

After lunch, we pass by the Opera House and arrive to the Museums Quartier where you find plenty of museums just like the most visited Leopold Museum with a Gustav Klimt exhibition. There is also the MUMOK, the world's largest museums, where modern art plays the main role. You can find arts of Pablo Picasso there, too. The Kunsthalle is a meeting place for international contemporary art. Albertina & Albernia Modern are the largest museum for modern art in Central Europe with art exhibitions like Monet to Picasso.

Of course if you’d like to know more about the Habsburg’s daily life then don’t miss the Hofburg. For centuries, the Hofburg was the heart of a world empire, a symbol of the power and splendour of the Habsburgs. One of the largest palace complexes in the world: once the residence of the imperial family, today it is home to several museums. Visit of the Sissi Museum is strongly recommended but it’s up to you which museum you choose. (The visit of a museum is optional)

Before leaving Vienna we take you to a horse carriage tour in the city centre and on the way back to Budapest let’s have a last photo break at the funny Hundertwasser house.
