A guided expedition is available only during the dry season. An intense and exciting scene awaits in the canyon of the upper section of the Naranjo River, just 25 minutes northeast of Quepos. This tour consists of venturing into a narrow canyon to paddle the white waters considered solid class IV, a technical and intense section that is very fun. The indescribable emotion as if you were going down a natural slide with small drops, waterfalls that come out of some walls where you find fossils. In addition, you can enjoy a delicious snack of fresh fruits on the banks of the river. The water level can increase or decrease depending on the rainfall, intensity, and adrenaline. Some technical details are variable, generally December and May are the months with the most water.
