What you can expect

  • Day 1: Tianmen Mountain
    Take the cable car to the summit and climb the 999-step staircase to Heaven’s Gate, a large natural rock arch. Walk along the summit paths to enjoy wide views of the surrounding peaks and the city below.

    Day 2: Zhangjiajie National Park (1st Entry) – Avatar Peaks
    Take the Bailong Lift up to Yuanjiajie Area. Here you can see the mountain that inspired Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountain, Heaven’s First Bridge, and the Sky Rice Terrace along the cliff sides. Continue to Tianzi Mountain Area, where dense forests and rows of tall rock pillars rise above the clouds.

    Day 3: Grand Canyon & Zhangjiajie National Park (2nd Entry) – Valley Views
    Start with a walk across the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge. Optional activities include bungee jumping, zip line, and alpine slide.
    Then re-enter Zhangjiajie National Park and ascend Huangshizhai for layered views of the rock formations. Descend to the valley floor and follow the Golden Whip Stream trail, where clear water flows beside old trees and occasional wild monkeys.
