A visit to Chobe National Park in northern Botswana is such an exciting once-in-a-life time experience. Compliment it by visiting one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls in Livingstone city in neighbouring Zambia.

There is only one main reason for this day trip visit to Livingstone, the tourist capital city of Zambia. It is to tour what is known locally as the Mosi-oa-Tunya Falls (meaning “The Smoke That Thunders”), otherwise popularly known as Victoria Falls.

05:30 am – : Wake up and take your warm bath. Our hospitality team in Kasane Botswana will pick you up from the reception of your lodge/hotel in Kasane or Kazungula.

06:10 am: Travel from Kasane to the Botswana - Zambia border a distance of about 4 kms. At the border, you will be welcomed by the new Zambian tour crew with a hearty Zambian greeting: Mulibwanji: meaning “How are You”

You should kindly answer back:Bwino: meaning “I’m fine“.

Border Clearance Formalities

You will present yourself before immigration and customs officers of both Zambia and Botswana at the one stop border station located on Botswana soil. This will be for the sole purpose of processing your exit from Botswana and smooth entry into Zambia respectively.

Friendly advice: Please carry your passport with you and sufficient USD hard currencies to pay for any border fees.

Welcome to Zambia

After all the immigration and customs formalities, you will now enter into Zambia. Without wasting time, we will drive straight away to Livingstone on the M10 highway road. We will cover a distance of about 72 kms driving through the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park before reaching Livingstone city.

11:00 am: Arrive in Livingstone city and take some light breakfast

12:00 am – 14:00 am – After processing entry requirements at the main falls gate, you will finally enter into the mighty Victoria Falls forest and commence viewing the falls. Visit curio market.

14:20 pm – Travel back from the Victoria Falls to Livingstone city and take lunch at good restaurant.

14:30 pm – 15:00 pm – Visit and commence touring the Livingstone Museum and Livingstone city.

16:30 pm – Travel back to Botswana Kasane, heading straight through border Zambia/Botswana
