The Halle Gate is one of the most impressive monuments of medieval Brussels. It was once one of the gateways to the fortified city and served to control the access of people and goods. An educational trail and a remarkable historical collection tell the storey of the Brussels fortresses and the various guilds they defended. The large spiral staircase and the imposing roof have given the building a fairy-tale appearance.
