Start your day with a mountain bike ride from Nong Khiaw. Follow your guide along a paved road to the first Hmong village. Walk around and see the traditional houses of the Hmong people and their local life as farmers.

After a short rest, cycle on a small dirt road, where you can enjoy the landscape of rice fields between limestone mountains of Muang Ngoi. In about 2 hours, arrive at the village of Payong, where Mr. Pao and his family will welcome you for a short break.

Next, head to the village of Sopkan, settled at the Nam Ou River. Here, enjoy a traditional Lao lunch. Taste the local and typical Lao flavours and spices.

After lunch, board a boat for a scenic ride on the Nam Ou River. See the local river life: people fishing, children swimming and playing, and pigs and buffalos sunbathing.

Gaze at the unique view of the Nam Ou River during a 50-minute cruise back to Nong Khiaw.
