6:30 AM – Arrival at Yala National Park
Arrive at the park entrance, where your safari guide and jeep will be waiting for you.
You’ll receive a brief introduction about the park's history, wildlife, and what to expect during the safari.
6:30 AM – Start of Safari
The safari officially begins! Yala is known for its high density of leopards, elephants, and various bird species. Keep an eye out for:
Leopards: Yala has one of the highest populations of leopards in the world.
Elephants: Particularly in the early morning, you may spot groups of elephants roaming.
Birdwatching: The park is also a haven for bird lovers, with over 200 species of birds, including pelicans, storks, and herons.
Other Wildlife: You may also come across water buffalo, crocodiles, jackals, and spotted deer.

10:30 AM – End of Safari & Departure
After several hours of thrilling wildlife exploration, it’s time to wrap up the safari.
Return to the entrance, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Tangalle.
1:30 PM – Arrival in Tangalle
You’ll arrive back at your accommodation in Tangalle, where the safari experience concludes.
This half-day safari offers a perfect mix of wildlife exploration and comfort, with early-morning game drives being ideal for spotting active wildlife. You’ll be back in time to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in Tangalle!
