Step into the past with an immersive dinner show themed on the Northern Wei Pingcheng Dynasty in Datong. This royal banquet faithfully restores the royal dining rituals of the Tuoba regime over 1,500 years ago, integrating Xianbei nomadic culture, Central Plains etiquette, and Silk Road exotic styles. Based on ancient historical records, it reproduces authentic imperial cuisine and court music ceremonies.

Located in the core area of Datong Ancient City, the 2000-square-meter full-scale antique palace venue consists of four themed zones: ceremonial entrance, grotto art corridor, all-scenic photo area, and holographic performance hall. The entire immersive experience lasts 100 minutes.

Enjoy free Northern Wei and Xianbei costume dressing and take photos at classic spots, including a 1:1 Hanging Temple relief, miniature Yungang Buddha, and blessing tree.

The epic live show “Prosperity of Pingcheng” runs through the whole dinner, presenting the founding of Pingcheng capital, Empress Dowager Feng’s sinicization reform, international Silk Road diplomacy, and grand court ceremonies. The diverse performances cover Xianbei whirl dance, horse dance, bronze chime music, and interactive royal rituals. Performers walk among seats for close interaction, bringing an immersive time-travel experience.

Every dish is refined from ancient Northern Wei recipes with historical stories, served with antique bronze and pottery tableware. It perfectly combines ancient royal flavour and local Datong taste.
