What you can expect

  • Discover the magic of Kyoto in a single day on this comprehensive tour, including return train transfers from Osaka and a guided bus tour through the city's most iconic landmarks. Begin your adventure with a comfortable self-guided train journey from Osaka to Kyoto, where you'll meet your professional guide before boarding the bus.

Your first stop is the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove. By arriving early, you'll experience the tranquil atmosphere of the towering bamboo before the daily crowds arrive—the perfect moment for peaceful photos. Next, admire the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), a breathtaking Zen temple covered in shimmering gold leaf and reflected in a picturesque pond.

Continue to the historic Nijo Castle, the former residence of the Tokugawa shoguns, known for its beautiful gardens and famous “nightingale floors.” Then visit Kiyomizu-dera, where an impressive wooden terrace offers sweeping views over Kyoto. (Please note: entry to Nijo Castle and Kiyomizu-dera depends on your selected booking option.) Between visits, enjoy the charming streets lined with traditional shops and local treats.

Finish your day at the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vibrant red torii gates stretching up the mountainside. After the tour, make your way back to Kyoto Station to board your self-guided train back to Osaka. With convenient return train transfers and an expert bilingual guide (English/Spanish), this tour is the perfect way to discover Kyoto in one unforgettable day.
