Leave Adelaide behind and get ready for a brilliant day in the Barossa Valley with your Groovy guide. This is a wine tour at heart, with premium tastings, great food, local knowledge and some fun extras along the way.

We start with a quick stop at the Big Rocking Horse in Gumeracha. Grab a coffee, snap a photo and, if you feel like it, head into the wildlife park for the chance to pat a kangaroo before we continue towards the Barossa.

Our first proper taste of the region is at Kies Family Wines, a family-owned producer with deep roots in the Barossa. Enjoy a guided tasting of premium wines and learn more about the varieties, winemaking and people behind the cellar door. It’s a great introduction to the region and a chance to settle into the day.

From there, we head into Tanunda and stop at Rehn Bier. Start with a tasting of locally brewed craft beers before sitting down for lunch. Choose your meal from the menu, with a wine, beer or soft drink included.

After lunch, you get a little freedom. Stay for another wine tasting, or head out for a walk along Tanunda’s high street and explore the shops, cafés and local atmosphere.

Next, we visit Château Tanunda, one of the Barossa’s most impressive and recognisable estates. Take in the historic surroundings before enjoying another guided premium wine tasting at this iconic property.

We then make our way up to Mengler Hill Lookout for sweeping views across vineyards, rolling countryside and the Barossa Valley below. It’s a short stop, but one of the best ways to appreciate the scale of the region.

Then it’s time for something sweet at Melba’s Chocolates Barossa, where you’ll enjoy a private chocolate tasting and sample a selection of locally made favourites.

Our final stop is the iconic Seppeltsfield estate, and this is where you can finish the day your way.

If you’re still keen to taste, add an optional Seppeltsfield wine tasting from $15 to $35. Or switch things up with an optional Prohibition Gin tasting for $24. Both are payable directly on the day.
