    La Patrona is operated by a professional Costa Rican fishing crew with extensive experience on the Central Pacific.

    Captain Adrian has more than 20 years of fishing experience around Jaco, Herradura, and Los Sueños. An offshore fishing specialist and tournament angler, he brings extensive local knowledge and adapts each trip to the fishing conditions.

    Mate Lizandro has been fishing Costa Rica’s waters his entire life. He has experience with tournament sailfish teams in Los Sueños and specialises in fly fishing and dead bait fishing. He has caught hundreds of marlin, including several over 500 pounds, and brings valuable experience handling big fish.

    Together, Adrian and Lizandro combine local knowledge, tournament experience, technical fishing skills, and a passion for sport fishing to make every La Patrona charter a memorable experience.

Our Full Day Fishing Charter from Los Suenos and Jaco Costa Rica is the perfect fishing trip for anglers looking to catch Big Game. We start your charter by cruising to the fishing grounds, one hour and 25 miles offshore to our Captains favourite fishing marker. During Full Day trips, you have the time to hit the 25-mile marker where the Big Game fish such as Marlins, Sailfish and Mahi Mahi are hiding around debris or artificial reefs. On full day fishing trips, you can choose between inshore, offshore, and bottom fishing. Inshore is especially a great option if you are coming to Costa Rica to catch the elusive Cockerel Fish.
