Join us as we discover Hamburg’s maritime side by bike. Our tour takes us through historic areas, the Neustadt district and past the famous “Michel” church. From the elevated harbour promenade in St. Pauli, we enjoy wonderful views of the River Elbe and Hamburg’s busy port.
We cycle together along the waterfront between St. Pauli and Altona, passing the creative Park Fiction area before reaching the Altona Balcony, one of the city’s most beautiful harbour viewpoints. Here, you can enjoy wide-open views across the Elbe, the modern container terminals and the lively port scenery.
From there, we follow the Elbe towards the historic Museum Harbour Oevelgönne and continue through Altona’s vibrant Große Elbstraße, passing the cruise terminal, Holzhafen and the famous Fish Market. We then cross through the historic Old Elbe Tunnel and take in a special view of Hamburg’s skyline and harbour from Steinwerder.
Along the way, we take a relaxed break to enjoy the panorama with a coffee, a refreshing drink or a traditional fish sandwich. Surrounded by shipyards, docks and maritime history, you’ll feel Hamburg’s port atmosphere up close before we cycle back through the Old Elbe Tunnel, HafenCity, Speicherstadt and along the Binnenalster to our bike station.
