What you can expect

  • Leave the crowds behind and explore the wild, authentic beauty of Mount Etna – a volcanic landscape unlike any other in Europe.

After pickup in Catania, your journey heads towards the lush forests and lava flows that define this untamed side of the volcano. Far from the tourist buses and the caos of Rifugio Sapienza, you'll venture into a world shaped by fire, silence, and time.

Led by an expert guide, hike through ancient craters, walk across hardened lava fields, and descend into a striking lava cave formed by past eruptions. The trails are peaceful and immersive, offering panoramic views.

As you reach elevations around 1800 metres, you’ll experience lunar-like landscapes, unique volcanic vegetation, and the raw energy of Etna under your feet. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories about the volcano’s geology, mythology, and explosive history.

This is not just a trekking tour — it’s a deep, sensory journey into the living heart of Etna. At the end of the experience, you'll be brought back to Catania, filled with memories that will stay with you forever.
The experience is suitable for everyone.
