Visit the impressive Bender Fortress, a 15th-century stronghold originally built by Stephen the Great and later reinforced under Ottoman rule in the 16th century.
Walk along the fortress walls, explore its well-preserved towers, and learn about its turbulent past under Moldovan, Ottoman, and Soviet control.
Midday: Cultural Exploration in Tiraspol
Continue to Tiraspol, the capital and largest city of Transnistria, located along the banks of the Nistru River.
Experience the unmistakable Soviet-era atmosphere, with Lenin statues, propaganda murals, and socialist symbols that feel untouched by time.
Enjoy a lunch break at a traditional local restaurant (meal not included, approx. €8), where you can taste classic Transnistrian and Slavic cuisine.

Later in the afternoon, we continue to Castel Mimi Winery, a world-renowned wine destination.
Explore the winery, its historic cellars, and barrel rooms
Enjoy a guided wine tasting with insights into local winemaking traditions
Meet winemakers and, depending on the season, sample wine directly from maturing tanks or barrels
