It was created in honour of a special stone two fishermen found, as it had an image of St. Mary chiselled into its side. From then on, local sailors and fishermen alike threw stones where the Lady had been found, vowing to honour the spot of this unlikely discovery. Inside the church, you’ll be able to explore a vast collection of votive tablets and various works by renown painter Tripo Kokolja, a Kotor native regarded as a master of his craft. Bay of Kotor
