What you can expect

Discover two of the most impressive attractions in the Carpathian Mountains on a private tour from Bucharest. Travel along the spectacular TransBucegi Road, a scenic mountain route offering breathtaking views over the Bucegi Mountains.

Your first stop is Ialomita Cave, located at about 1,660 metres altitude in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains. This famous cave features impressive stalactites, stalagmites, and fascinating natural galleries shaped over thousands of years. At the entrance, you will also find the Ialomita Cave Monastery, a small Orthodox church partially carved into the rock, creating a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere.

The journey continues to the stunning Peles Castle in Sinaia, one of the most beautiful royal residences in Europe. Built between 1873 and 1914 as the summer residence of King Carol I of Romania, the castle impresses visitors with its Neo-Renaissance architecture, richly decorated rooms, and remarkable collections of art, weapons, and antique furniture.

This tour offers a perfect combination of nature, history, and spectacular mountain landscapes, making it an ideal day trip from Bucharest.

Please note: Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, the visit will include the castle gardens and exterior, allowing you to admire the beautiful surroundings while learning about the castle’s fascinating history.
